Taking a Spanish banking innovator into new territories
Bankinter is currently the sixth-largest listed banking group in Spain. The group has made a multi-channel strategy one of its biggest competitive advantages, offering clients the opportunity to manage their finances through any of a wide array of convenience-driven digital channels.
Fjord was invited to design their retail banking experience across mobile devices and netbook platforms. As Bankinter’s service was highly regarded already, we knew we’d need to retain the integrity of the brand whilst evolving it into a new mobile context.
An acknowledged leader online – how would we take it onto mobile platforms?
Fjord developed a pragmatic, thorough and rapid extension of Bankinter's powerful brand and best-in-class online experience. Our particular focus was on mobile platforms and channels characterised by mid-size screen displays.
Our team needed to make full and thorough translation of Bankinter’s highly regarded web banking service, while making sure that current trends within mobile banking were carefully incorporated.
Innovative information design ready for launch in early 2011
The new visuals were exceptionally well received and are being launched in early 2011, after a rapid and highly focused design-led project.
