The UI of tomorrow is already here?

Being in the business of interactive media design, we are always on the lookout for new forms of UI, especially ones that escape the boundaries and limitations of the screen, and the Sixth Sense project at MIT really grabbed our attention.

It's one thing to see this type of thing in the sci-fi movies, but it's another thing to see a real wearable gestural interface (other than something like the Wii) being developed in the real world, and it really had our brains buzzing with a lot of new ideas, not only regarding unique forms of user interface design, but also the future potential of new forms of delivery devices, gaming, advertising and marketing opportunities.

Although still in the development stages, it's definitely something to keep an eye on, as it offers a lot of exciting, new possibilities for data interaction and bringing the user experience into the world around us.
