Fjord-designed BBC iPlayer mobile service launched

BBC launches the mobile version of the hugely successful iPlayer on-demand TV and radio service. Fjord worked in close collaboration with the BBC on the user experience and interface design of the mobile service.

The BBC iPlayer service has quickly become a benchmark digital media solution. The on-demand BBC iPlayer service allows users to view and listen to a huge range of BBC TV and radio content. Fjord has been involved in the design of the iPlayer experience since 2006. In 2008 Fjord was commissioned by the BBC to also help them create the mobile version of the hugely successful service.
