Fjord featured on Taptu 'Virtual Roundtable'

May 13th 2010

Fjord's Managing Partner Christian Lindholm recently contributed to a 'Virtual Roundtable' held by touch web analysts, Taptu, and the presentation has now gone live on Slideshare.

Taptu produce reports looking at the constituent parts of the touch media ecosystem, the Mobile Touch Web, and Mobile Touch Apps.

Christian's views are featured alongside the likes of Mark Curtis from Flirtomatic, Alfred De Rose from Tego Interactive, and Jonathan McDonald from This Fluid World.

Roundtable events are always interesting - but technology is now paving the way for the sharing and distribution of ideas in ways that were previously thought impossible.

With many leading executives and directors so busy, it is only through ways such as this that we can come together periodically to discuss how we move forward as an industry.

Of course, with content uploaded onto Slideshare, the ideas of some of the leading figures in the industry are there for any member of the public to discuss, adapt, or innovate with. This is an incredibly valuable resource, and we are delighted to be a part of it.

Christian's contribution is to argue that "Within 2-3 years we will have 3 webs. The 13" mouse web, designed for computers, desktops and laptops, the 4" mobile Touch Web designed for mobile touch screens and the like, and the 10" Casual Touch Web for devices such as the iPad. Thus, we will have three segments: Phone, Pad, and Computer. The Phone and Pad are web sub-segments, and will require their own discovery, structure, and monetization solutions."
