Fjord’s Olof Schybergson to present at Handelsblatt’s ‘Strategic IT Management’

On Tuesday 25th Olof will present at the conference on the topic of ‘Next Generation Devices for Next Generation Users’.

‘News am Abend’, a digital edition of Handelsblatt, Germany’s leading daily business newspaper, published an article on the increasingly dissolving separation of the personal and professional usage of IT. This sets the stage for the upcoming Handelsblatt conference on ‘Strategic IT Management’ in Munich, Jan 24th to 26th, 2011, where Fjord’s CEO Olof Schybergson will be a speaker on Tuesday 25th. According to Handelsblatt, the CTO’s job does not get any easier. They are losing control of the information technology of their employees. The barriers between personal and office IT are vanishing and therefore control over work tools is no longer in their hands. But according to a mini-survey among the speakers of the upcoming Handelsblatt conference ‘Strategic IT Management’, IT managers are very aware of this development. The majority of corporate IT systems is rigid and monolithic, but flexibility is important according to Olof Schybergson, Founder and CEO of Fjord. “People will use a plethora of devices to get information and complete tasks”, he says. So companies are starting to prepare for this new era.
