Fjord announced a partnership with World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 (WDCH2012) back in September this year.
Today, we are delighted to announce the launch of the mobile service which is part of the WDCH2012 partnership with Fjord and part of the official WDCH2012 programme.
The advantages of the mobile service or 'the digital programme book' are clear. It is always up-to-date, available on the move and incredibly intuitive and easy to use. Accessing the mobile service via multiple platforms, users can find out about the 300 projects of WDCH2012 and where they are located. The user also has access to WDCH2012 news, a map, a monthly calendar and information about WDCH2012. Users can save their favourites in the app memory and return to them quickly and easily. The app is available in Finnish, Swedish and English.
“We wanted to create a service that suits all situations and all user groups, such as city residents and tourists. It is important for the users that the essential and up-to-date content is easily accessible. This way, World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 comes close to the people and becomes part of their daily life. We paid special attention to simplicity and ease of use in the design, and I think we achieved a great end result”, says Olli Mannerkoski, Managing Director of Fjord Nordics.
