The challenge:
Premier Farnell is a leading multi-channel distribution group supporting millions of professional customers globally. The company’s strategy is focused on increased use of digital media, and the company aims to generate 50-70% of its revenue online by 2009. The Premier Farnell Innovation Lab hired Fjord to create a better understanding of what this vision might really look like, and, more importantly, what it might mean in terms of a supreme user experience.

Our approach:
Fjord undertook extensive work to create a shared understanding of users and the existing Premier Farnell online service. Rigorous idea sharing and documentation helped create alignment within the company.
Result:
Through this relationship we fostered concepts that were completely new within online commerce. The work was hugely appreciated and Premier Farnell has retained Fjord as the user experience design partner for the much larger task of overhauling the entire online offering of Premier Farnell.
