Accenture Interactive and Fjord at Cannes

For eight days in June, the world’s leading creative minds – advertising professionals, designers and digital innovators and marketers – unite at Cannes Lions Festival, the world’s most prestigious celebration of creativity. And, Fjord, as part of the Accenture Interactive program, will be there.

This year, our presence at Cannes comes on the heels of Accenture Interactive recently being named the world’s largest and fastest growing digital agency network (in the Ad Age Annual Agency Report 2016). We’re proud to be part of our Accenture Interactive family and look forward to inspiring audiences with speakers and experiences that represent the far-reaching impact of digital today and beyond.

Jonas Hoglund, Service Design Director at Fjord Stockholm, will kick off the week at Lions Health with a workshop entitled, “Design Thinking for Health Innovation.” Hoglund will explore key trends impacting design, business and society and show participants how to use them to unlock innovative ideas for both patients and medical professionals. Jonas’ presentation will highlight several Fjord Trends from this year’s report as well as Fjord Fido, our platform solution for diabetes.

John Fremont, Global Digital Project Lead and Group Director of Fjord Austin, will take the stage at Lions Innovation. John will discuss the design, development and delivery of innovative digital products and how to create amazing user experiences. Also, Accenture Interactive Managing Director Christine Removille will present, “Embracing the Connected Customer through the Sixth Screen.”

Speaking of amazing user experiences, iCannesDance from Fjord’s Chaotic R&D Lab will be the centerpiece of the Accenture Interactive exhibit at Innovation Lions. Visitors can totally dominate the dance floor with this exclusive-to-Cannes mind bending technology that generates an animated doppelganger equipped with a selection of incredible dance moves. The result? A digital you, in front of any real-time backdrop in Cannes, animated with some serious Michael Jackson-esque movers. It’s the world’s ultimate selfie.

We are also proud to announce that Yaprak Gutay, Service Design Lead from Fjord Istanbul, will represent Fjord and Accenture Interactive as a jury member for the Digital Craft Lions, a new category that recognizes technological artistry, impeccable design, masterful execution and outstanding user experience in digital environments. Accenture Interactive’s South African creative director Emma Carpenter will also serve as a Cannes juror. The 2016 juries, selected from 40 countries, comprise 40 percent women, a record number for the festival.
