In the last few months, Forrester has published reports, which assess the market for both service design and the wider landscape of digital customer experience. Fjord and Accenture Interactive have emerged with probably the strongest set of capabilities in the world.
In the Forrester Wave™: Digital Experience Service Provider, Q4 2015 report, Accenture Interactive is praised for:
“the most compelling and complex customer work — from rethinking design and branding to integrating into enterprise back-end systems. The firm also showed huge potential for the future as it integrates highly skilled boutique agencies into broader Accenture services…Additionally, Accenture Interactive’s strategy, design, and implementation work is some of the most complex and successful we saw in this evaluation.”
In the Vendor Landscape: Service Design Agency Overview, 2015 report, Forrester define five flavours of service design across the spectrum:

Physical and face to face experience designers
Digital Experience Designers

Business Systems Consultants
Fjord was one of just four out of 70 agencies surveyed, to offer the complete spectrum. Of those, Fjord has the longest experience and the most scale (only two agencies were listed as 500+). Fjord also featured the widest spectrum of industry experience.
