Kingfisher Digital and Fjord host talent recruitment event for new in-house design team
Kingfisher Digital held their first talent attraction event last Thursday, 15th September 2016, in London. Prospective candidates were invited to come along to the HQ in Austin Friars to find out all about Digital and how they’re revolutionising the way DIY’ers shop.
Andy Rudd, Kingfisher Partnership Director, kicked things off by giving an overview of Kingfisher, their vision for what the future looks like and how, as a team, Digital are helping to lead the way.
Everyone then had the chance to network over a beer and a slice of pizza, before talking through their portfolios and previous work with the Kingfisher and Fjord teams.
The evening was a great success; twelve talented designers with a wealth of different experiences and backgrounds came along to show us their work in UX, Interaction and Service Design.
Here’s what a few people of those who came along had to say:
“The genuine passion from Kingfisher is so inspiring!”
“It sounds like you’re doing some huge stuff here… I have written down a few ideas of my own, but you have to hire me first!”
“So many businesses say [they’re] truly digital, but this is what it really looks like!”
“This is the kinda place everyone says they want to set up, but never does…”
If you missed this event, the good news is that due to demand from candidates and the pace at which the team is growing, we’re hosting our next portfolio night on Thursday 27th October. We’ll be sharing more details closer to the date on both Kingfisher Digital and Fjord channels.
