Olympic Torch arrives in London

Annie Woodhead

When the Olympics came to London, the city went Olympic crazy. It was infectious and a fever of excitement erupted across the office when we heard the torch would be traveling through Oxford Circus on its penultimate day before arriving at the Olympic Park. Since we’re a short 5 minutes walk from Oxford Circus we decided to head down and soak up the atmosphere.

We left the office en masse and took up our viewing spot. There were tens of thousands of people there hanging from their office windows, we event spotted some having a party on the roof terrace! It was a scorching hot day and we waited for 30 minutes for the Torch bearer to run past but it was well worth the wait!

Operations team enjoying the atmosphere.

Proud to be British!

Londoners know how to put on a party.
