Group Director, Seattle
Teaque is an accidental designer, recovering MBA, and Group Director for Fjord Seattle, where he is responsible for leading, managing and growing the studio and its portfolio of work. He has more than 20 years of consulting experience across a diverse range of B2C and B2B clients. He has worked with brands like Samsung, AT&T, SC Johnson, BASF, Nike and the Federal Reserve to innovate their strategies, products, services, organizations, brands, and overall experiences by harnessing a combination of research, strategy, design and technology.
Prior to Fjord, Teaque was executive director of innovation strategy at frog design and co-founded and led its experimental innovation initiative called frogLabs. Teaque has also served as associate partner at gravitytank, crafted brand strategies at Prophet Brand Strategy, and designed processes and organizations at Accenture.
Teaque frequently lectures on design and innovation at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and teaches a course on customer relevance at CEDIM in Mexico. He has also spoken at industry conferences and graduate schools of business and design on diverse topics such as healthcare, consumer products, sustainability and financial services.
He graduated from Middlebury College and holds an MBA in marketing and strategy from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he sits on the advisory board for the MMM program (a combined masters of science in design and innovation with an MBA). He enjoys island living on Bainbridge Island, off the coast of Seattle, with his wife, daughter and wheaten terrier.
