Thomas Müller

General Manager, Fjord EALA

Thomas Müller

Thomas is a design executive and brand visionary. Born in Germany, he has spent much of his adult life in the US where he studied and then worked on the client and consulting side. Thomas passionately believes in the essence of simplicity to enable remarkable experiences through any service, interaction or communication.

Thomas started his design career in New York at Razorfish. He joined as a Design Director, and was the first person with a traditional graphic design and communications background, as well as a master degree in media design from the Art Center College of Design. Over the course of nearly ten years, he helped build design teams in his role as VP Design. He managed the design team, led pitches and project teams for numerous leading clients.

Most recently, as Chief Experience Officer at Siegel+Gale, Thomas worked with a range of leading consumer brands, financial services firms, media companies and not-for-profits, to help them use the power of simplicity in everything they do.

Prior to joining Siegel+Gale, Thomas helped Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSLO) successfully rejuvenate its online business by introducing a user-centered strategy and design process to partners across its editorial organisations. This resulted in transforming the entire organization. From being print or television centric to becoming idea-centric, to imagine content experiences that engage the brand’s fans across more channels, more frequently and for longer.

Being the General Manager for EALA, Thomas collaborates with our studios and design directors, and is an integral part of the leadership team across EALA.

When you don’t see Thomas working with Fjordians or clients, chances are you’ll find him on his road bike training for a GranFondo and seeing if he can beat his goal of 5,000 km per year. The beauty of that much cycling is that it requires plenty of healthy nutrition, which allows Thomas to hone his cooking skills.
