Regional Business Design Director
As business design director for Fjord’s EALA region, Tobi’s main focus is on solving human challenges for his clients, leading them through uncertain business environments, and developing new business models for the future.
Tobi has 14 years of project experience leading business and working across a wide range of industries. He discovered his passion for user-centric service design while working in San Francisco, where he fell in love with the nature, melting-pot culture and optimistic attitude of the Golden State. He then returned to Germany to study Design Thinking in Potsdam in order to push his interest and career forward.
In his current role at Fjord, he facilitates future visions and strategies — and makes sure that these equally balance user and business needs — while putting a strong emphasis on helping our clients articulate new value propositions and implement a sustainable innovation culture in their organization. In addition to overseeing client projects, Tobi is involved in much of the thought leadership within Fjord itself, and works to ensure that Fjord is seen as a leader in its field. Tobi is known for his inclusive, collaborative working style, and believes in giving people plenty of room to explore.
When he’s not at work, Tobi is spending time gardening, boxing, watching football and spending time with his two children. He also has an interest in futurology and photography, and his serious and not-so-serious life goals include learning how to play an instrument and mastering at least one good party trick. (We’ll let you decide which is which.)
