Wayne Suiter Matamoros
Fjord Evolution Lead, North America
As North America Lead for Fjord Evolution and global lead for Learning Experiences, Wayne’s primary responsibility is supporting growth and learning by ensuring every studio is equipped with the best methods and knowledge and is empowered to share best practices across Fjord’s global network. To make this happen, he and his team of talented designers work tirelessly to develop and deliver learning experiences to help studios further develop their design chops and push their skills and understanding into emerging fields. It’s this work that helps us, together, lead the industry in breakthrough thinking and methods.
Prior to joining Evolution, Wayne served as a Business Design Director at Fjord New York, where he led strategic engagements for Marriott, KIA Motors, Prudential and others, using a service design-led approach to help companies solve some of their most complex strategic challenges.
Before Fjord, Wayne worked at a variety of design, branding and innovation firms such as SYPartners, R/GA and Interbrand, where he ran product and brand innovation projects for major international clients, helping them create ambitious visions, transform their cultures and develop long-term strategic roadmaps yielding tangible results. In his pre-consulting life, he spent eight years running a design and development team at a major research institution, where he once had the rare opportunity to hike into volcanoes in Costa Rica to send back live feeds.
Wayne is an avid supporter of West Ham United (often sadly so), still plays soccer (fútbol) when his legs allow him, and enjoys working on, breaking and occasionally fixing his 1965 Plymouth Barracuda. He currently lives in Brooklyn with his wife Myra and two unruly and untrained wiener dogs, Maximiliano Octavio and Gustavo Antonio.
