Junior Front-End Designer
We are looking for a Junior Client-Side Developer to join our Technical team. We’re a multi-disciplined team, using a variety of technologies and techniques.
We like Grunt, use Sass for a CSS and we’re not opposed to a spot of Vue. But at the heart of it, these are just tools to make life easier, we don’t let the tools get in the way of good development practices and neither should you.
Your role will be distributed between small and large projects equally, where you will work with and be guided by a senior developer.
You will be expected to present work and ideas clearly and methodically within the team and will be required to document large projects with the oversight of a senior team member. You’ll also work with designers in post-concept phases to realise designs and offers ideas/alternatives on routes to best complete a project.

The Junior Client-Side Developer will play a proactive role in their own learning, project development and time management, requiring a range of skills to facilitate this. We look to provide training and mentorship to compliment your existing skills:
Proven track record of commercial web development experience
Knowledge of LAMP technologies, MySQL, PHP would be a bonus
Good knowledge of core Internet technologies, HTTP/S, SMTP, FTP, SSH etc.
Know why documentation and commenting of code is important
Basic knowledge of various Web API’s and how to integrate with 3rd party systems
CSS pre-processors (Primarily Sass using SCSS)
Keen interest in improving performance and workflow through efficient coding practices
You’ve use Gulp (or similar) as part of your workflow
You understand the importance of a mobile-first workflow
Experience of using Sass or other pre-processors
Solid knowledge of issues around responsive design and cross device support and testing
Familiarity with at least one of the following — ReactJS, AngularJS, VueJS, Polymer.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git in particular)
Keen eye for detail, with a passion for producing pixel-perfection
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Design or related field.
